I have two years’ experience teaching Maths at secondary school level, including KS3, GCSE and A-level. Over this time, I have taught students with a range of abilities, and have enjoyed developing strategies to help less able students access Mathematics, as well as strategies to stretch and challenge students with a strong ability.
Throughout my time studying and teaching, I have gained considerable experience tutoring students of all ages and in a range of subjects. I have tutored a number of A level students helping them to achieve an A, and recently helped a student improve from a Grade C at GCSE to a Grade B at A level. I also have an abundance of experience helping students exceed their targets in GCSE Maths and I have tutored several students taking 11+ and 13+ exams.

Biography:

I went to school just outside of London where I completed A-levels in Maths, Physics and Biology.

I went to school just outside of London where I completed A-levels in Maths, Physics and Biology. After this, I took a year out before starting University, during which I got my first experience of teaching through volunteering at a community project in Laos where I taught English as a foreign language. I then went on to study at the University of Sheffield where I graduated with a 1st Class Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
I decided to go into teaching after I graduated to combine my passions for Mathematics and working with children and completed my PGCE in Mathematics at Kings College London. Since then I have worked in two London secondary schools gaining experience teaching KS3, GCSE and A-level Maths.
I am now working full time as a professional tutor with a focus on Maths and English 11+ as well as Maths at GCSE and A level.
